How To Motivate Yourself To Do The Boring Things You Need To Do

If you heard the pep talks I have to give myself on an almost daily basis. Like, out loud! To amp myself up to file paperwork, or go to the bank, or break down that enormous cardboard box. I used to say โ€œGet it together, Von Bargenโ€ but thatโ€™s not very nice. So now I...

How To Decide When To Give Up On A Goal And When To Recommit

โ€œWell. I'm clearly bad at this and I was wrong to even try and the answer is to GIVE UP IMMEDIATELY.โ€ If youโ€™ve ever muttered this to yourself, to your partner, to your cat - congratulations! You are human and you have a human brain! Figuring out which goals to...

I can see the tiny โ€˜likeโ€™ notifications piling up under the comment on my Instagram post. 12, 13, 14 likes. And honestly? I get it. Because the comment is so, so relatable. Who among us hasnโ€™t done this? Who hasnโ€™t spent weeks or months researching:  How to launch...

I don't think we should save ourselves! I think we should give it all out, because it never ends. Our best parts will be intact no matter how much we use them.

    I entirely agree with Greta.

actually, i agree with you. i don't know if you mean saving yourself in this sense, but my husband and i waited until we were married (virgins at 21!) to sleep together, and i believe our marriage is more romantic because of itโ€“no worries about "how it was" with past people, because we're learning everything together. i know that most people, even most people in our faith, don't do that anymore, but i really think the wait was worth it.

omg, those words are so trueโ€ฆ but what if u do and then later ( years later) find out that that was the wrong choice? (and this is not referring to sex)

Or persons! But yeah, I completely agree with this 100%.

I like Greta's comment better, too. Life is for living. Don't hold back.

But this quotation is true of everything in your life, absolutely not just people or sex. If you feel like you're wasting your time/talents on something or someone or someplace, then do something else, go someplace else, meet someone else. Don't waste your time on things you don't feel are "worth it."

Combining this with another of my favorite blogs, DaddyLikeyโ€ฆ I certainly hope my chocha isn't the best part of me! LOL!
My best parts are my head & my heart, and YES I saved them for the person who deserves, loves and cherishes all their greatness & their flaws.
I'll plead the 5th on the other part. ๐Ÿ™‚

That is BEYOND the truth. Most people don't REALIZE the presence that they have come in contact with. It's almost sometimes, like being in a room full of people who LIVE in fanasties, but you believe in realityโ€ฆ.trying to tell them anything realistically, will just be a waist of time. Reason being, they'll NEVER understand where you're coming from. I say in this season, don't waist time on those who aren't going the same places as you are. You'll save alot of breath just by waiting on YOUR crowd.

Nice quote, thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚
