Timely: 11 creative ways to make your home cozy

These are my person secret to a cozy home (they make noise!)

Related! The benefits of bad weather.

Random recommendation! If you’re a pet owner and live in the Twin Cities, I can’t recommend Hairy Poppins enough. Leah is a veteran vet tech so she can do all sorts of stuff for you and your pet and she isn’t afraid to pet sit animals who need a bit of extra help or who take medications!

Such a lovely reminder: Today might be full of surprises.

Today would be a wonderful day to shock and amaze yourself.

Today would be a wonderful day to prove yourself wrong.

Today would be a wonderful day to lace up your sneakers, unroll your yoga mat, pour that Diet Coke down the drain, write the first page of your book, say “I forgive you,” say “I love you,” or do something you previously thought you couldn’t do. Maybe just for one minute. Maybe just twenty seconds.

Well, this is refreshing: An ANTI-haul video.

What does it mean to “feel good in your body“?

Sweet. How to know it’s January.

How to build an ethical closet (the base of it is different than I’d expect!)

Susan’s approach to weight is similar to my approach to money.

I know a woman who lost 30 pounds but she’s constantly worrying that she’ll gain it back. She lives in a continual state of panic because she doesn’t “trust herself” to be around a plate of brownies without gobbling down every last one. She achieved her goal—losing a bunch of weight—and yet, where’s the happiness that was supposed to come along with it? She’s got a brand new body and yet, happiness still hasn’t arrived.

I’ve met hundreds of women with hundreds of stories just like these.

The point is, being a smaller size does not guarantee that you’re going to be happy.

It just means you’re going to be… you. Wrapped in a slightly different package. And happiness has nothing to do with the packaging. We’ve been brainwashed to believe that it does, but it’s a lie.

Hope you had a great week, friends!
